Inspired by electron microscope imagery, macro photography and the mind-boggling strangeness of the insect world, ARThropod Brain presented an entirely new body of work at Toy Art Gallery in Los Angeles, opening on March 9th, 2013.

This exhibition was conceived as a synthesis between the visual universe of Tokyoplastic and the central motif of Emilio Garcia's work: the brain. The result was a series of multicolored brain bugs, finished in candy flip paint, evoking both the scientific classification of insects and the playful energy of art toys.

In addition to this new collaborative body of work, Emilio Garcia also presented his Skull Brain for the first time on the West Coast.
